Blues in Bb

Blues in Bb
Wednesday, 11 February 2015

This is a regular 12 bar with a common blues bass line. After the 12 bars is up the track changes to a jazz blues progression starting on the IV chord.  Play G minor pentatonic riffs and Bb minor pentatonic riffs over this track!

This track is a  great track to improvise over because it has a nice laid back feel and  there's plenty of space to be as melodic as you want, or just shred away! The chord progression is all diatonic to E major except one chord. Give it a listen and figure out what it is! Hope you have as much fun over this track as I did.

This backing track has a nice groove and funky bass line in it. And a quiet odd chord progression. Be sure to look at what the correct scales are to play for this one. This one is a challenge!

This one is in the style of SRV's "Lenny" utilizing the major 6th chord. Ethan shows in the video, how to play minor triads that are a major 6th away over the major 6th chord!
